Scott Bowden is a five-time award-winning author of 22 works related to Napoleonic and American military history. A graduate of Texas Christian University, Scott is a member of Le Souvenir Napoleonien International (Napoleonic scholars). His most recent work, Last Chance for Victory: Robert E. Lee and the the Gettysburg Campaign (co-authored with Bill Ward) won the prestigious 2001 Douglas Southall Freeman History Award and the 2001 General Nathan Bedford Forrest Southern History Award, and has been named to the curriculum at the U. S. Army Command and General Staff College. Scott was also named recipient of the 2001 Grady McWhiney Award of Merit. He lives in Arlington, Texas.
